Gloucestershire Schools Championships Results

We had another brilliant day at Gloucestershire Schools Championships at Lilley Brook Golf Club..

Many thanks to the management and members at Lilley Brook for allowing us the use of their course; to Nigel Thompson and his greenkeeping team for their incredible work on the course, presenting it so well, following such tough conditions from the recent bad weather; to Waypoint catering and bar team for keeping everyone well fed and watered; to Ed Goodwin and his pro shop team for their support of ball prizes and the players needs today and John Lannon, general manager, for his support in organising the event.

Thanks to our district schools/colleges for allowing their students to take part in the event, our brilliant referees, Adrian and Carole and starter Gary Ward for the long day of support needed today.

We had a field of 56 players, representing 22 schools/colleges and 28 clubs – just fantastic!

Due to the course conditions, today’s event was a non-qualifier, which was a relief for many , but disappointing for quite a  number of players. There were some great scores and the prizes were awarded, as below, and the full results are at: Past Competitions (englishschoolsgolf.org)
