The Presidents Cup
After a seasons long series of matches in the Presidents Cup, only 4 teams remained and they would do battle at Minchinhampton GC on Sunday 5th October looking to be crowned Champions. The Semi final match ups were Knowle v The Players and Painswick v Forest Hills. The weather was very autmunal but the very high winds had calmed somewhat but a stiff (& cold!) breeze remained.
The Players were victorious is their semi final by the margin of 3-2 and the full result can be seen by CLICKING HERE.
In the other semi final Painswick beat Forest Hills 3-2 and the full result can be seen by CLICKING HERE.
This set up an afternoon final between The Players v Painswick.
Painswick were quick out of the blocks and didn't look back as they took the top 3 games to secure victory. The Players did win the final 2 games with the final score being a 3-2 win for Painswick. The full match result can be seen by CLICKING HERE.
