Covid-19: Presidents Cup & Sen. Scratch Foursomes Salver 2020
In light of the PM asking us all to avoid ‘non-essential’ travel and contact with others to help curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) earlier this week, the Gloucestershire Golf Union Championship Committee has decided to suspend all Presidents Cup and Sen. Scratch Foursomes Salver preliminary round matches with immediate effect.
The Championship Committee will reconvene to review the situation and agree a possible way forward soon after the Easter weekend, after which I’ll be back in touch.
Whilst this is disappointing, the Championship Committee concluded that, given the current threat, it is the right and proper decision for everybody involved.
