County Golf Day 2026 (Morning Greensomes) - Shirehampton Rules
Conditions of Play, Qualification, Entry and Prizes
1. Conditions of Play
- This Association Golf Day is a betterball Stableford competition held over 36 holes off yellow tees (Greensomes in the morning, 4BBB in the afternoon)
- The maximum number of entries will be fixed at 120 players
- Spaces will be filled as completed bookings are received
- The event organiser will allocate tee times
2. Qualification
- This competition is open to all male playing members of golf clubs affiliated to the Gloucestershire Golf Union
- To be eligible a player must: i. Be in possession of a WHS handicap index ii. Be a member of a golf club affiliated to the Gloucestershire Golf Union
3. The cost per day of £57.00 (tbc) per person is all inclusive of 36 holes of golf plus coffee/tea & bacon roll on arrival, light lunch and one course dinner with prizes
4. Prizes (subject to change based on participant numbers)
- 1st £50 each
- 2nd £35 each
- 3rd £20 each
- Best AM £15 each
- Best PM £15 each
Only one prize may be won by an individual which will be the prize of the highest value
Prize vouchers will be sent out via email
GGU logo golf balls will be awarded for a 2 on nominated holes
5. Players are allowed to use a buggy
- Rule 5 from General Conditions of Entry for Gloucestershire Golf Union Events does not apply
