At Carlyon Bay a team of 10 boys and 5 girls will qualify for the English Schools’ National Championships (at Gog Magog Golf Club, Cambridgeshire on Monday 27th June) with the chance to gain an International Schools’ Cap in matches against Scotland and Wales later in the year.

Well done and thank you to all our players, their schools staff, parents and carers for their support of this event and best wishes to those who qualified for the national events.

A huge thank you to: the management and members of Lilley Brook G C for allowing us to hold the championship today; Nigel Thompson and his greenkeeping team for their hard work on the course; Waypoint clubhouse team for looking after our food and drink requirements and Matt Evans and Dave Finch and the pro shop team for looking after the players’ needs.   Thanks also to the two 'B' Brian Griffiths and Bill Perkins our referees for the day and to Denzil Brisland, Lilley Brook GC Vice-Captain for presenting our prizes.  We are always entirely grateful to our district clubs for supporting this great event and the success of our young players in their onward progression to the prestigious national events.
