What To Practice ?

Everything, ......

.... whilst individuals are strong in different areas, the FACTS from our own analysis tell us that the best players are consistently near the top of the key categories of

  • Keeping the ball in play from the tee
  • Hitting Greens in Regulation
  • Getting Up and Down when you've missed the green in regulation
  • Putting

Which is why we developed our County Skills Test to specifically cover these areas.

But Did You Know That.....

  • County Golfers hit a short iron into more than 40% of holes on the course.
  • Approximately 44% of all shots his by County Golfers are putts.
  • Approximately 20% of all shots are Tee Shots on Par 4's and Par 5's.

So if you can drive the ball well, hit it close with your short irons and putt well then you're in business !

......And Incidentally

Only 1% of all shots played by County Golfers are greenside bunker shots - so please don't spend time on that at the expense of the important stuff highlighted above.

So what do you need to be good at to play County Golf ?
