109 players took to the field at 8:30AM on a bright sunny morning at Cirencester Golf Club. The preparation of the course was excellent thanks to Richard Louisson and his staff. The scoring was very strong with six players achieving a gross 75 the rules of the completion state the winner should be determined by a playoff this took place at 7:00PM over holes 1,2 and 3.
The players were Steve Wallbank (Ross on Wye), Vernon Chappell (Cotswold Edge), Phil Wring (Knowle), Peter Stone (Cirencester) and defending Champion Andy Wright (Long Ashton). Unfortunately, Steve Prosser (Cotswold Hills) was unable to take part due to personal reasons but was awarded a prize voucher.
On the first hole there was one bogey, three pars, and one birdie carded by Peter Stone (Cirencester) who put his second shot to 3½ feet and rolled in the putt to win the championship. The runner up then had to be determined and on to the 2nd hole all the balls were driven on to the green but all on the bottom tier. Phil Wring (Knowle) rolled in a 20 feet birdy to secure the runner up spot.
Congratulations to all but especially to Pete and Phil.

65-69 Alan Dangerfield (Minchinhampton), runner up Stuart Masson (Minchinhampton)
Over 70s Hugh Purvis (Long Ashton), runner up Barry Wild (Cotswold Hills)
The team competition for the MacAllan Trophy was won by the team of Vernon Chappell, Willie Cruickshank, and Andy Cocking representing Cotswold edge GC.
