West of England U16s Open Amateur Strokeplay Championship - Rnd 1 Rules

Conditions of Play and Qualifications
1. Conditions
36 hole U16s scratch stroke play Competition open to both girls and boys and played in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf. In the event of a tie, the Competition shall be decided by ‘sudden death’ stroke play, play off. The first player to win a hole outright shall be the winner.

2. Prizes
Prizes will be given in the form of vouchers for the top five places.

3. Entries
Entries will be limited to 60 entries with a handicap index of 6.4 or below (including the boys who finish in the first 3 places of the GGU U16s Championship, regardless of handicap and the girl winner of the GLCGA U16s Championship, if held). Entries will be accepted in order of handicap index. In the event of more than 60 entries being received, there will be a ballot for the last place(s) between those of the lowest exact handicap index not already accepted.

4. Closing Date
Thursday 1st September 2022.

5. Entry Fee
£25 inclusive of light lunch. The Committee reserves the right to refuse entry.

6. Starting
Equally distributed, if possible, between the 1st & 10th tees, those off the 1st in the morning will play from the 10th in the afternoon and vice versa.

7. Start Times
Partners will be drawn. Times of starting and partners’ names will be posted on the GGU website and will be sent to competitors and to the Secretaries of Competitors’ Clubs via email if provided.
