Gloucestershire struggled in the morning foursomes as they got used to the Burhill course. A couple of the matches were very back and forth with Sam Payne and Tyler Hogarty being 3 up at one stage before they started struggling with their putting.
The afternoon was a completely different event with Gloucestershire putting in a very strong finish against the raining EGU Boys champions. Laurie Potter was dormy 4 down and birdied the last three to half. Sam Sullivan was also 4 down and running out of holes before he manages to also grind out a half. Sam Morgan, Sam Payne and Tyler Hogarty were always in control of their games and looked very impressive. Jamie Graham (who was pulled in as a late starter) and Alex Palomeque valiantly fought their opponents until they eventually conceded but would both have learnt a lot from the experience.
