A great day for Gloucestershire and a fantastic result against a very strong Somerset side, which included the runner up in the English Amateur and the winner of The South of England Boys. In the rain- soaked morning foursomes, Gloucestershire just took the spoils on a course which coped extremely well with the adverse weather conditions. The after noon singles were a tense affair through the first 9 holes with many of the matches no more than a hole apart. However Gloucestershire stepped up a gear for the back 9, comfortably taking the singles and the match. Well done to all of the team, with notable performances from Jamie Dick, Alex Higgs and Josh Denley for their lower order support.
